Condition Monitoring

Geographe Energy has a proven track record in reducing maintenance costs through the proactive use of Condition Monitoring.

Acoustic Condition monitoring and visual inspection of valves during site surveys allows:

  • Early Detection of Failures
  • Internal Thru Valve Leakage
  • External Leakage from valves, fittings and flanges
  • Reporting of general valve condition and identification of other potential valve issues
  • Reduction in maintenance costs through identification of problem valves and planning of maintenance tasks
  • Tracking of valve history and trending of performance using our valve database

Control Valve Diagnostics

Geographe Energy has a dedicated control valve team who are able to assist with valve surveying, testing, benchmarking and subsequent management and troubleshooting. Being fully independent of all Valve OEM’s, Geographe Energy offer unbiased valve failure analysis and performance investigation.

Geographe Energy use ValveSmart, which is a diagnostic tool for testing all air operated valves and which operates independently of the valve OEM. It’s a non-intrusive inspection of the valve which can identify issues with the valve internals, actuator and positioner performance without the need for valves to be ‘blindly’ removed from line for inspection purposes. It is able to communicate with all positioned protocols (Analog (4-20 mA), Foundation Fieldbus , HART). It is a light weight and compact system and is fully field service compatible. ValveSmart is a fundamental part of Geographe Energy’s client tailored Preventative and Predictive maintenance strategy developments.

Valve Leak Detection

Geographe Energy offer Valve Leak Detection service using Ultrasonic Condition Monitoring which comes complete with fully trained technicians and a full diagnostic capability. Ultrasonic condition monitoring allows valves to be tested in line, thus reducing down time, increasing uptime and providing a greater cost reduction in the total outlay associated with the upkeep of plant.

Geographe Energy’s Ultrasonic Condition Monitoring service offers an integrated solution to valve condition monitoring, with a range of advanced hardware and a suite of software that enables the collection, storage, trending and analysis of valve data in a common database. This tool is particularly useful, when used as part of an integrated maintenance program, in the development of maintenance strategy, particularly in respect to the scheduling of PSV’s.
